Cover with your trip's name
Trip title, dates, who was in the car, total miles and plate count - rendered in the field-guide style with an "Est. 2026" stamp.
you can rename it before printingAfter the trip, Switchback lays out the whole journey - the route, the photos, the plates you caught, who won what - as a real printed book and ships it to your door.
The printed book arrives with the full release - it's not in the beta yet. Start logging trips in the TestFlight beta now, and the book follows when Switchback launches.

A real, full-color, full-bleed book - auto-generated on your phone from everything Switchback already captured during the drive. No layout work for you. One fixed template for v1; choose softcover or hardcover.

you can rename it before printingThe actual road you drove, rendered as a field-guide map. Photos appear where you took them. If you opted location off, it shows a states-visited map instead.
it's your drive, not a stock mapEvery plate the kids caught, stamped onto a US map with the per-state fact you saw in the app. Unlisted finds (the "report-a-plate" wildcards) get a page too.
Mara got Hawaii at 11pm in FlagstaffEach child gets their own spread: their bingo card, scavenger list, plate count, and the wins they're proudest of. Photos they took show up under their name, in their voice.
no one is "and the rest"Logbook entries, dated and attributed to the kid (or parent) who wrote them - paired with their photos. Handwritten captions stay handwritten on the page.
"dad missed the exit on purpose"The numbers (miles, plates caught, states visited, days on the road) plus every embroidered-style patch the crew unlocked. The back colophon carries a tiny QR home.
grandparents flip straight hereWhen the book launches with the full release, you'll order at most one per trip - or none. Switchback never auto-bills you, never holds your photos hostage, never charges to "unlock" the book preview. Shipping will show at checkout before you pay.
When it ships, you'll order one only if you want it - the trip's yours either way.
Shipping is paid at checkout (you'll see the total before paying). US-only at launch; international as the print partner's routing opens up. Books ship after the TestFlight beta wraps (target: late 2026). If a book arrives damaged or misprinted, we reprint at no charge.
No subscription. No ads. No tracking. The book is how Switchback stays in business - so it has to be a book worth buying. That's the whole accountability loop.
One book is one purchase. There's no monthly tier, no auto-renew, no "premium book" upsell. If you don't want it, you pay nothing.
The preview is the full book, generated on your device. You can export the PDF and reprint it yourself anywhere, anytime. We don't hold the file.
Photos live on your device. They sync to the rest of your crew only end-to-end encrypted - scrambled before they leave, readable only on a family phone, never by us. At order time, the print partner gets exactly two things: the print-ready PDF and the shipping address, so they can mail the book. Nothing more.
Two products, one price each. We're not nudging you toward an annual plan or a "deluxe" edition that locks the good pages behind another paywall.
The app the book is made of is in TestFlight beta now. Get on the beta and start a trip - the book follows from the miles you drive.
No accounts. No spam. Just the app.
